J.O.S Solicitors were delighted to act on behalf of Mericq Group, one of Frances largest seafood processor, in its acquisition of Irish seafood company Breizon.
Based in Rossaveal, County Galway, Breizon has been supplying live, fresh, frozen and cooked shellfish for over 40 years. The company’s fresh and frozen seafood is sold in supermarkets across Ireland under the brand name, Window to the Sea. Breizon also exports shellfish to Europe and China.
It is expected that the acquisition of Breizon will further strengthen Mericq Group’s position in the European seafood market.
